BELLEVILLE, July 21, 2026 — The Belleville Chamber of Commerce brought out the giant scissors for a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. today to kick off the official grand opening of Smile Dentist Belleville, owned by Dr. Devang Rajpara and Dr. Shital Patel Rajpara, located at 274 North Front Street. Local dignitaries were invited to attend, including representatives from the City of Belleville and the offices of MP Malette and MPP Allsopp, along with members of the media.

Smile Dentist Belleville is the second location for this husband-and-wife dental team, who have been practicing in Canada since 2016. The couple got their start as associate dentists at Victoria Dental Arts in Belleville, under Dr. John Ter Haar, serving the community for four years before opening their own practice: Trenton Smile Dental Center, in Trenton, Ontario.

Local residents of Belleville for the past 11 years, Dr. Rajpara and Dr. Patel Rajpara said the community’s warm welcome made the city feel like home, and they wanted to bring their practice to serve their community directly. With demand for dental care outpacing the number of dentists in the area, the couple saw an opportunity to open a second location so local families wouldn’t have to wait for necessary care.

As a family-owned and operated practice, Smile Dentist Belleville is built around continuity of care and accessibility. The clinic accepts a wide range of insurance coverage, including the Canadian Dental Care Plan, Healthy Smiles Ontario, ODSP, and other social service insurance plans, keeping care accessible to as many local families as possible.

To mark the occasion, Smile Dentist Belleville is giving away 20 electric toothbrushes during their grand opening day, to those who stop by to check out the new location.

“We’re so excited to finally open our doors here in Belleville,” said Dr. Devang Rajpara. “This is where we’ve made our home for more than a decade, and being able to serve our own neighbours means everything to us.”

Dr. Rajpara also thanked the City of Belleville’s permit department and the inspectors who worked with the clinic throughout the permitting process. “Everyone we worked with helped guide us through a smoother process and made sure we got the details right for the safety of our patients and the public,” he said. “We’re grateful for that support.”
