LOFT & Co., a new women’s clothing boutique focused on everyday, comfortable style and size inclusivity, celebrated its grand opening on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025 at the Memorial Market Place in Downtown Belleville.

Councillors Garnet Thompson and Margaret Seu on behalf of the City of Belleville, Danielle Letersky on behalf of MPP Tyler Allsopp, Lisa Comerford from the Belleville Chamber of Commerce, Luc Fournier from the Small Business Centre and Matthieu Leonard, Chair of the DBIA Board, were present at the ribbon-cutting.

The boutique is founded by veteran hairstylist and The Salon owner Jenna Patane, who also owned the neighbouring salon for more than a decade.

LOFT & Co. has been years in the making for Patane, who has spent 26 years behind the stylist chair listening to women talk about fashion, confidence, fit, and the lack of local options.

“It’s something that I have thought about as a passion project for a long time,” she said.

When health issues forced her to step back from hair colouring and freed up time in her schedule, she decided to turn that lifelong idea into a brick-and-mortar reality designed around the shopping experience she felt was missing.

From knowledgeable staff to customer service that includes “little luxuries” such as comfortable seating, fans in the change rooms and complimentary drinks, Patane has thought of little details that elevate the shopping experience.

LOFT & Co. will offer a carefully curated mix of brands from Canada, the U.S. and abroad, with petite to curvy styles from size 0 to 20 in different price points.

Patane wanted the store to have inclusive sizes so that every woman can shop the entire store.

“In Downtown Belleville, there’s a need for a women’s size-inclusive boutique,” said Patane.

Choosing The Memorial Market Place and Downtown Belleville was no accident.

Patane has witnessed first-hand how the revitalized Memorial Market Place is helping to re-energize the core.

“I think it’s going to be the hub of Downtown Belleville in a couple of years when the whole venue is fully functioning,” she said.
